Think of the simsun eSIM as an additional SIM card that only provides access to the internet.
Your simsun eSIM will only be activated once your device connects to the mobile network in the destination country and data is used.
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is an additional SIM card that is already integrated into the smartphone or other device.

After purchase, you will receive an email from simsun eSIM with a QR code and a download link. You can scan this or activate it directly depending on your device.
Alternatively, open the settings of your smartphone: Settings > Mobile Data (or “Cellular”) > eSIM.

Questions after purchase
Yes, you can top up your existing simsun eSIM and add more data. This way you don’t have to buy and install a new eSIM when your data runs out.
How to top up your eSIM:
- Open the simsun app for iPhone
- Select the eSIM you want to top up
- Choose a new data plan and complete the purchase
- The new volume is automatically added to your eSIM
Note: Topping up currently only works via the simsun app. The app is free and you only need it if you want to top up your eSIM. All other features (purchase, installation, usage) work without the app.
After you have requested a refund and the eSIM has not been activated within 30 days of purchase, we will refund the full purchase price.
The refund will be completed within 5-7 business days. If something went wrong, please contact customer service.
After you have placed the order, it takes a maximum of 15 minutes for the email to arrive. However, it usually only takes 2 minutes.
Make sure to provide your correct email address during purchase and ensure that your inbox is not full.
If you have not received the eSIM within this timeframe, please check your spam folder or simply contact our customer service.
Check in the settings if data roaming is enabled for your simsun eSIM.
If you have booked a simsun eSIM for abroad, make sure you are in the respective country and check if your data volume has been used up.

Please understand that we have no influence on the local expansion of the mobile network and its availability.
You have several options to check your remaining data volume:

In the simsun app (recommended): Open the app to see how much data you have left. The app also shows when your plan expires.

On your device: Open Settings and select the corresponding eSIM. The used data volume will be displayed there.

Via activation link: Click the link from your confirmation email or in your customer account.
Note: The simsun app is not required - all features work without the app. The app just makes it easier to keep track of your data volume and top up in time.
